How much does a fence cost in Chandler?
Updated October 2026
As of October 2026, Angi's Phoenix-area figures put the average fence install at about $17 to $39 per linear foot, with a typical project between roughly $1,150 and $2,950. Block walls usually cost more and are priced by wall area: about $10 to $30 per square foot nationally. It depends on material, length, height, gates and soil.

How do I turn a per-square-foot block price into a wall budget?
Multiply wall length by height to get square feet, then apply the range. For example, 120 feet of 6-foot wall is 720 square feet. At $10 to $30 per square foot, that is about $7,200 to $21,600. This is a rough calculation from the national range above, not a price we are offering.
What pushes the price up in Chandler?
- Caliche. Hard, cemented soil slows post holes and footings. Angi notes Phoenix projects often trend higher partly because of it.
- Demolition. HomeAdvisor lists removing an existing structure at roughly $5 to $25 per linear foot.
- Gates. A wide steel RV gate can cost as much as a long run of wall.
- Pool rules. Self-closing hinges, high latches and a 6-foot perimeter all add cost.
- Finish. Stucco and paint matched to an HOA palette cost more than bare block.
- Access. Narrow side yards and golf course lots can mean carrying materials by hand.
So what will my project cost?
Toward the low end if…
- the run is short and straight,
- the ground digs easily,
- there are no gates and no old fence to remove.
Toward the high end if…
- you need block or custom iron,
- you hit caliche or need demolition,
- it is a pool barrier or includes a wide gate.
